Birds in the Park surrounds art with conversation. Artist Christy Hengst creates porcelain birds with writing and pictures on their backs. Inspection of the birds raises questions like “What is public art and – can it achieve anything?” “What is war?” “What is peace?” These are some of the questions that arise in this documentary.
Christy Hengst’s birds will be featured in the Exploratorium outside of the Kelly Barn on Saturday, September 22nd.
